An Introduction

Hello!

Getting back into this whole blogging business feels a little strange, but so many events have happened in my life recently and I’d love to share them with you! My name is Courtney and this story begins in 2019 during my last semester of college. I graduated with a degree in environmental science, however my personal experience of our wonderful planet was severely lacking. With that being said, I made a decision that I needed to get out and explore what I’m trying to protect. To be fair, I’ve traveled to a few states previously in my life, but what better way to see the continental United States of America than to road trip?! This is where the ultimate adventure comes into play – along with Michael.

I met Michael in college. He graduated a year before me with the same degree and also has an adventurous soul. That being said obviously he was down for more travels. Towards the end of the semester he bought a new van (a slight upgrade from his previous one) and we got to it. We spent a few months converting it and we were off! The original goal was to head to Colorado since that had always been a dream of mine, but little did we know we would soon extend the trip and live out of the van for a few months leading us all the way to the west coast!

Now, I’m from Michigan and this Michigan girl saw so much more than she ever had before. Where did we go exactly? The journey led us from Michigan to Colorado, Utah, all the way over to Cali, up through Washington, back east to Montana, a little south to Wyoming, over to South Dakota, and finally back through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. So there’s a little sneak peak about what this blog will be about; the adventures we got up to, the life of living in a van, National Park extravaganzas, and just all around good times.
